European Trademark Attorney and SIB partner Mauro Delluniversità has been appointed Panelist for the resolution of .it domain name disputes through the procedure managed by MFSD, an Italian private and independent Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) body specialised in intellectual property.

The growth of online trade has brought with it a remarkable increase in cybersquatting as well as in fraudulent domain name registration, and ADR procedures are proving very effective internationally as a tool to solve conflicts between trademarks and domain names, with over 90% cases ending with reassignment to the trademark owner of the disputed domain name, or with its cancellation.
