Pride Month 2024 has come to a close: at SIB it has been an opportunity not only to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, but also to learn a little more about its history.

During this June our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion group discussed, produced and circulated within the firm an essential guide to the history of LGBTQ+ symbols, with a focus on the origin and evolution of the “rainbow flag” of 1978 and on the flags currently in use to represent individually some of the groups that over the decades have joined what is known today as the LGBTQ+ movement.

We believe that acknowledging and respecting differences promotes inclusivity and equity, as well as fostering creativity and innovation.
