Engaging students on biotechnology patents
We’ll be holding a lecture on biotechnology patents on 11 May 2017 in Rome for students of molecular biology at the Biochemical Sciences Department of La Sapienza University.
It is such a pleasure to engage students on the subject of intellectual property protection that our annual lecture on biotechnology patents at Rome’s first university has become a permanent commitment.
Paolo Di Giovine, who is a European Patent Attorney at Società Italiana Brevetti with ten years’ experience in chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry and biotechnology, will begin the lecture with an introduction to the technical aspects of a patent and then explain about patenting strategies in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical fields with a focus on European Union law.
