SIB contributes to the EPIP 2024 conference on IP and the future of the data economy

We are proud and excited to be among the sponsors and speakers of the European Policy for IP Association’s 2024 Annual Conference  on the theme “Intellectual Property and the future of the data economy”, taking place in Pisa, Italy, 11-13 September 2024.EPIP 2024 conference on IP and the future of the data economy

The event brings together scholars in the fields of economics, law, management and political science, as well as stakeholders and policymakers to discuss IP protection, science and innovation.

We’ll be exploring the evolving interplay between IP systems and the new data economy, the challenges raised for regulatory and innovation ecosystems, and the reforms needed to shape IP and data laws so as to encourage creativity and innovation, while tackling global challenges and contributing to more sustainable societies and economies.

SIB is contributing to the speaking events with the “UPC litigation scenarios” roundtable, held by our Mario Pozzi and Davide Rondano together with Barbara Politi of Addì and Federica Canu of Enel Group.

The conference is organized by Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and Università di Pisa in collaboration with EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office), EPO (European Patent Office), WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) SIAE (Società Italiana Autori ed Editori), Unione Industriale Pisana, Comune di Pisa.
